National Forest Agency mission is: "Well management of the forest at the national level, their conservation and development, the sustainable and multifunctional use of resources in the national forest area, as a natural asset of national importance". In the management function, NFA has the role of an authority that insure the performance and efficiency of the sector, develop standards and methodologies for the activities and operations of the sector, involve stakeholders and strengthens coordination/cooperation between them. It develop an appropriate system for collecting data and transferring knowledge. It is responsible for assuring performance and standards in relation to the national forest area.
